From 3/8” thick steel brackets to ¼” minimum guide angles, oversized windsocks and 6” tall slats (up to 14 gauge), you can’t order a stronger door! Best Applications – Extreme width or height openings, extreme wind load requirements, doors that must be operated during significant wind conditions, and severe abuse environments.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
·         6” tall #9 curved slats, constructed of 18 gauge or 14 gauge hot-dipped galvanized steel with a polyester primer and baked-on gray polyester topcoat paint finish.
·         Standard 20 PSF Windload
·         Heavy-duty cast iron, zinc plated windsocks are utilized for wind load performance and to prevent lateral slat movement.
·         The bottom bar assembly is a double angle steel design with bottom astragal.

·         Curtain – Curtain will be composed of interlocking [18][14] gauge galvanized steel slats, roll-formed per ASTM standards and designed to withstand a 20 PSF wind load. Ends of each slat will be fitted with cast iron, zinc plated wind locks.
·         The bottom bar will consist of two equal steel angles, to stiffen curtain, with astragal. When required for additional security, provide slide bolts on the bottom bar.
·         Guides- Guides will be ¼” minimum thick structural grade steel, 3 angle assembly to form a slot of sufficient depth to retain curtains in guides to achieve 20 PSF wind load standard. Guides will be provided with integral windlock.
·         Brackets- Brackets will be of 3/8” minimum thick steel plates, with permanently sealed ball bearings. Designed to enclose ends of the coil and provide support for counterbalance pipe at each end.
·         Counterbalance- A. Curtain to be coiled on a pipe of sufficient size to carry door load with deflection not to exceed .033" per foot of door span and to be correctly balanced by helical springs, oil tempered torsion type. Cast iron barrel plugs will be used to anchor springs to tension shaft and pipe.
·         Hood- Hood will be minimum 24-gauge sheet metal, flanged at the top for attachment to the header and flanged at the bottom to provide longitudinal stiffness. Hood will enclose a curtain coil and counterbalance mechanism.
·         Finish - Shop coat of rust inhibitive primer on nongalvanized surfaces and operating mechanisms.
